DOT Launches Passenger Rights Website

DOT announced Monday that it has launched a new website to alert airline passengers to their rights. The site may be accessed here

Also on Monday, the department released its latest air travel consumer report indicating that airlines in February had no tarmac delays of more than three hours on domestic flights and four tarmac delays of more than four hours on international flights. All reported extended tarmac delays are investigated by the department.

In addition, the reporting carriers posted an on-time arrival rate of 82.6 percent in February 2017, down from the 83.6 percent on-time rate in February 2016, but up from the 76.0 percent mark in January 2017.
