The Florida Airports Council, together with the Florida Department of Transportation, the USF Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) and Direct Effect Solutions, has announced the Leadership Development for Airport and Transportation Professionals course scheduled to take place at Daytona Beach International Airport, February 5-7, 2018.
This management and leadership skill-building course is designed specifically for airport/aviation managers and professionals in the transportation industry. Course content uses materials developed through a Transportation Research Board Airport Cooperative Research Program (ARCP) project, Report 75 available at www.trb.org. Facilitators include Mindy Price, Direct Effect Solutions and Michael Audino, USF Center for Urban Transportation Research. Participants will learn:
• Self-Management and Leadership Fundamentals, including leadership brand, leadership styles, followership, communication, generations in workforce and conflict management
• Leadership Competencies, including critical thinking, decision making, business case negotiation, and Change Management
• Leadership Engagement and Application, including relationship building, team building, motivating employees, performance management, feedback, developing culture, interviewing and mentoring
This 3-day program provides knowledge and skills to apply immediately to circumstances at your organization and will help you acquire tools and techniques to focus your energy on the leadership challenges you face in your business.
