Domestic Airfare Sales Decline in June

top story photo The sale of domestic airfares in June fell 0.76 percent from the same month in 2017 to reach $3 billion, according to the Airlines Reporting Corp. (ARC), which handles the banking of agency sales for the airlines.

For the first six months of this year, domestic sales have increased by less than 1 percent over the first half of 2017, ARC said.

On international routes, airfare sales in June rose 6.5 percent over June 2017, according to ARC. For the year to date, international sales have increased over last year by almost 11 percent.
