The Airbus A380 will continue its world tour with a visit to Orlando International Airport, Nov. 13-15, Airbus said in a statement.
This latest visit to the U.S. will be conducted with a flight-test aircraft powered by four Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines. The aircraft, MSN 007, is equipped with an Airbus-designed full passenger cabin, which the manufacturer says demonstrates how the airplane can carry up to 525 passengers in an extra-quiet and relaxing three-class cabin environment.
Airbus said the visit comes at the request of the Greater Orlando Airport Authority to demonstrate Orlando International is ready to receive the airplane. Aibus said the airport meets the design criteria for the operation of New Large Aircraft.
